Higher education leadership collaborate to create new nursing program at UWSP

The Higher Education Alliance of Central Wisconsin is made up of top leadership from all higher education institutions.  Together they have formed an alliance to address issues that are critical to all of them and to improve the educational focus in the region.  The group recently met to establish formalized goals and to strategize actions for 2013.  The document linked below outlines the group's mission and details plans to advocate the establishment of a Bachelor's of Nursing Program at UWSP.  Additionally, the group is working aggressively to develop a proposal for a Bachelor of Applied Studies degree among the three technical colleges (Midstate, Nicolet, and Northcentral) and UWSP. This will allow all associate degree students an additional option to complete their baccalaureate degree.
